Welcome to the 17th meeting of the APBMT Group

We extend a warm welcome to all haematologists, scientists, nurses and other healthcare personnel involved in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation as well as our industry partners, particularly those in the Asia Pacific region, to come to the 17th meeting of Asia Pacific Bone Marrow Transplantation Group in Hyderabad, India from the 26th to 28th of October, 2012.

The scientific program includes topics where major advances have occurred in recent years and will be presented by international leaders in the field as well as those from the region. Keeping in view the needs of the region, we have also included presentations on establishing new transplant programs. A parallel program has also been included for many related nursing, laboratory and data management services which are so critical to a good hematopoietic stem cell transplantation program. 

To help bring trainees, nurses and allied health personnel to this meeting we are providing assistance for their attendance with reduced registration costs. Travel scholarships will also be provided to some of those with selected abstracts.

Hyderabad is a city in the south of India with a very rich history. The city and the region have many attractions for those who would like to combine this scientific meeting with some tourism. October is a very pleasant part of the year in this region of India to do so. 

We are excited about this meeting as well as the opportunities for scientific and social interactions with colleagues from the region and around the world. We look forward to welcoming you in Hyderabad, India.
